Is this the Girl Gourmet Cupcake Maker? Yes! This is Elinor our little cupcake! She wanted the Girl Gourmet Cupcake Maker for Christmas and her Aunt Jerusha and Uncle Clayton came through with the big gift. Actually, the Girl Gourmet Cupcake Maker only gets one star out of five with me......I'll give it one star for the really great marketing they did on the TV ads and the box was oh so cute:) but that is where the good stuff ends. The cupcake maker came with 4 mixes for the microwave that can be "baked" in 30 seconds! Are you kidding me? What kind of cupcake is made in 30 seconds??? Well ....we tried it out on Christmas Day and...well.....while it left us a little disappointed.....you can't keep us down! Back to Wal-Mart we went to get some "real" cupcake fixins!!! We scored 2 Wilton cookie cutters, 2 tubes of glitter icing, 1 pink frosting tub, sprinkles, and cupcake mix. Wow!!! Now we are talking fun, fun, fun!!! Elinor personalized a cupcake for each family member with the first letter of their name and she also made a special cupcake with LOTS of sprinkles for her cousin Paige. We had a blast, the cupcakes were delicious, and we made memories that will last! Now that I'll rate 5 out of 5 stars!!! Just wait until you see our Valentine's Day cookies in a few weeks!!!

Our First Blog Entry

Wow! Tonight was a BIG night for the Russell family.....we set our Blog up, and now here is our first entry. I'm hoping to learn more about the blog world and keep this site up to date throughout 2009! That's my New Year's resolution for 2009.....I might be behind on Christmas cards, shopping, cleaning, wrapping, and laundry, but I have a blog!!!! Thanks to Logan for helping me with the playlist and the background. Didn't he do a great job? Are kids born knowing how to do this stuff now?
